Personal Brand Statement Examples and Templates

I sometimes get asked what a good personal brand statement  looks like. The truth is that we are of course unique and only you will ultimately know what is ‘good’. Yes we can get inspiration from others and even steal a word or two, but your statement is only effective when you are comfortable with it – and your target audience understands it.      It’s simple. I help people find jobs.

    One suggestion:

    Remove ” I help” .

The power of statements  come across clearer when vivid, action oriented verbs and metaphors replace that phrase.

Consider this rewrite of  I help people to transform their businesses, their careers and their lives.

Rewrite:  I transform your business, your career, and your life.
Transform trumps  the verb help any day.

Otherwise, great post!!!  I’m glad I found it while strolling the interwebs for personal branding help.  – Jordan

I’ve read that people love reading the word ‘help’ – not exactly sure why. Transform is good but it’s also bordering on clicheed, every strategy consultant I know is a transformer :-) Thanks for stopping by Jordan.

I’ve become skilled at a whole heap of tricks-n-treasures; thus filling my bottomless basket with treats full of passion ( and a hacker of some fashion). In other words: I take action, a Jackie-of-all-trades*
